1. The morning coat

● Trousers: can be black, grey or with a vertical stripe.

Braces : Generally in grey or black, a discreet colour or motif such as small white polka dots is allowed, the trousers are never worn with a belt.

2. THE ESMOQUIN

 

It is preferably a party dress for late afternoon or evening. In the old days it was known as the jacket that used when they went for a smoke, hence its name. It is composed of:

● Jacket: has a straight cut and no tails. It is usually black or navy blue.

● Shirt: white cotton poplin with bow tie collar, or classic collar. The breastplate can be in pique or with tucks. In Camiseria Burgos we can do both modalities. It is usually fastened with buttons instead of buttons as the buttonholes are smaller than in a normal shirt, although it can also be made to have the button hidden. The button fastening is usually black. And they usually have 3 or 4 buttons. Cuffs are always for cufflinks.

● Vest: black.

● Bow tie: black silk. Tie may be worn but is less common.

● Trousers: preferably black.

● Braces : Black or with a discreet motif such as small white polka dots, the trousers are never worn with a belt.

● Sash: distinctive garment of the dinner jacket, cannot be worn with other suits. Usually black silk, usually matching the silk of the bow tie.

● Gloves: white or grey, optional.

● Black dress shoes, never loafers.

3. THE FRAC

 

This is the gala attire, the highest form of men's formal attire. It is worn for formal evening events, state dinners or gala balls in enclosed spaces. It is composed of:

Jacket: the frock coat has silk lapels, is cut horizontally and is much shorter at the front. The back lapels are peak-shaped and it is worn open.

● Shirt: white cotton poplin with bow tie collar. The front is made of pique. In Camisería Burgos we can make both modalities. It is usually fastened with buttons instead of buttons as the buttonholes are smaller than in a normal shirt, the buttons are usually in white mother-of-pearl. They usually have 3 or 4 buttons. Cuffs are always for cufflinks.

● Waistcoat: compulsory and made of white piqué.

● Bow tie: white also in pique.

● Trousers: untucked, black, plain and may have a silk stripe down the sides.

● Braces : White, never wear the trousers with a belt.

● Shoes: in this case, shoes with glitter are acceptable, but black and with laces.
